Hey all. As you may have noticed, the site was down for about 2~3 weeks. It turns out that my host was hacked about 2 months ago and the damage took that long to get back to Apache. So now I'm on a new host and the site should be 100% in about 3 days. Most of the viewable site is working now but the downloads are not completely uploaded yet. The Downloads will be available when the images are up.

If you host files on this site, you to contact me about the change and possible issues with your files. Also I plan on changing the format of uploads and now would be a good time to get it working.

Also, expect to see more themes soon.

some of you may have noticed the error that was above the news. Yeah, my host changed a security setting and decided to not tell me. So i just fixed it from my end.

If you can see this, then its working. Good.
Ok now that thats done, how bout some news?

The site has been held up pretty well so far, the front end of the site is done aside from the new features that i will be adding during the next month.

Oh, the new features? For the theme list, im thinking about adding a rollover for the links to display the Title screen for the theme. And for the theme page, im going to have swf based image gallery for the themes. Like at least 5 images per a theme. In the future i hope to grab the image data straight from the smzip and using the images and the metrics, generate the images in real time ( or atleased cached ).

Now the next few months will go slow, but i hope to have at least one of the 3 features done before 2007.

Ok so in the next few months ( namely the summer ). Im going to do a 1/2 revamp of the site in the next months but to complete my equation: time is currently == 0, bordom is at 200 and stress is at 195. So that works out to 0 new features right now but i will have something new by the end of next month.

So, I've been working hard on the site and some features I've been wanting to implement.
Some of the themers have seen what one of those features are and now here's one for the visitors.

Theme Updates rss feed

Now whenever there is a new or updated theme on my site, the rss feed will update automatically to reflect the changes

Noteskins Updates rss feed
Announcers Updates rss feed

those are for noteskins and announcers which don't get too many updates but the first one is a must subscribe

Well i finnaly got the website fixed and i would really like some feed back from everybody that visits the site. So now that the design is done, im going to work on the stuff you cant see. So if you want, post your comments on my thread on ddrmaniax.

Some things i will be working on to make it even easier on my site, such as a rss feed that contains the latest theme updates, and other things. So if you have any things you would like to see the site do, just make a comment in the thread.

Well heres the good and the bad.

GOOD:
I got the Theme Hosting Request finally working so now all you need to do is to fill it out and I will be alerted immediatly of the theme as well as get to it asap instead of having to search the boards for new themes.

The new site is one step closer to being finished, ive just got software that will help me convert the image layout to a website . . coughGoLivecough . . .

In new themes, I have KatzeExtreme VS8 now and it looks better than ever.

BAD:
Im going to go to one host at the end of the month, yet again. . . ugg

The current site uses CSS, which i dont know yet.

I will not be able to work on the site currently or make anymore updates untill the end of the school year. My last final is on the 24th and the school will let out at 12:30 pm. Normaly this would mean this is the starting gun to resume projects but as it stand s, the family and I shall be on vacation in Flordia and New Orleans for a week. I will return that saturday only to study and take an SAT test the same or next day. If all goes well with my classes for the rest of the year, I will be free for the majority of the summer. So before I leave I am going to put a shoutbox up. If you just leave a message there, I will see what I can do a.s.a.p.

Oh yeah, SM 3.9 RC3 is out and should be compatable with all RC2 themes.

Ok, I think I got everything fixed now. The Site should work perfectly, and all files should be uptodate. If you are a theme maker or just know, alert me if i have a theme that is not the most current version. For reference, here are my latest:

And I am officaly starting a ReDesign contest. It will be a contest to see who can come up with a design for my site to celebrate the new server. It will be open to any one with an email account.

To enter, make a mockup or static image of the design in an image 800x600, in jpg, png, or gif formats. all others will not be accepted. Send the image, along with a decription of the design and your name to DesignContest@laser123454321.com.

The rules are as follows:

No Copying/steeling of currently existing themes/templates, Belive me, I will know.
Only 3 Submissions per an Email/Email-Account.
Must have a menu bar system, like at top.
must have SM Resources at left
must have Donation at left
Must state the Title of the Site at Top.

All entries must be recieved by April 2nd, 2005.
The top three(chosen by me) will be displayed for public vote. The winner will have the honor of having their design as the new design for my site and will recieve 100 MB of Ftp storage, as well as FTP access to the files hosted at my site.

I updated the Cyberia StyLe, KatzeExtreme, and Takuya Extreme themes to the most current version. The shoutbox is working now and everything is ok.

If i hAve time next week, I wiLL start work on the Flash image engine and the new laYOUt foR the other files: NoteSkins, Announcers, Other and whatnot.

Since Chrome has given me so much crap lately, I've decided to drop them. What I'm left with is my new host, and the only complaint i have so far is that they cant do addon domains. So welcome to the new address for Laser123454321.com. I'm updating alot of the Backend right now, nothing that can be seen, but helps me out in the long run.

I've added both the new version of KatzeExtreme as well as tried to update more.

In the next few weeks I should get the new Theme engine running and it will look better than ever before. . .or not. But soon I should have the new shoutbox and Theme Hosting Request forms made out.

Ok, for the past few weeks, nay months, this site has been down due to ownership changes.
But now it seems that the storm has come and gone and the site as a whole should be stable

In celebration of my return to SM theme hosting, I have 3 new themes....well really only 2.
let me explain:

1) Cyberia Style
OMG, this theme rivals Techno Fiend in pure movement. The theme is very well rounded but
details are a bit skechy, because Im not exactly sure who the maker is. But definatly check
this one out.

2) POP * CANDY
This is very kewtsy theme, and seems tailored for more of the female species. Its very pink,
and is very smooth, at least on my system. Another good theme.

3) KATZEEXTREME!!!!!!!11111oneoneoneeleven
Not only is this the newest version of this incredible, and i stress i n c r e d i b l e, but
dieKatze88 was awsome enough to add an announcer and NoteSkin this time

Also should anything happen again to this site and you find that you cant connect, try my new

this new domain is not functioning yet, but should sometime during the weekend.

Sorry about the site, some asshole had a script on their site that used 130% of the server's RAM and caused the site to be down today.

2 things though:
1. What kind of motherfuckers would do something to hurt the server and cause massive downtime.
2. How the hell do you use 130% of something.......

Aside from that tomorrow i will open the flood gates and watch as my bandwith goes to nil. Oh well...........
